My popular beach session features two hours plus at the beach following the
gorgeous late afternoon light into the last rays of the sunset! The session
takes place at the breathtaking and scenically diverse Aliso Creek Beach in
Laguna in Orange County. Aliso Creek features everything you could want in a
beach session. Rocks everywhere to sit upon, stunning seascapes behind you in
every portrait, gorgeous cliffs, quaint coves, and fun tidepools. I almost
forgot to mention it features one of OC's most renowned giant rock formations.
I’ve been to almost every beach in OC, and this beach is my favorite for
sessions!

Having a long session at the beach has so many advantages...
Families can do TONS of poses...some traditionally posed, some
photojournalistic in feel...like everyone walking along the shore hand in hand,
some just plain cute like everyone writing their first names and/or your last
name in the sand, or having your feet all lined up to accent how big your feet
are compared with the smaller feet in the family! We also can do every
combination you can think of in additional to the whole family...mom and the
kids, dad and the kids, the kids together, each child individually and even mom
and dad together! We have so much time that I try everything...portraits
laying on your tummies, kids jumping off rocks, dipping feet in the water, kids
picking up shells and seaweed...you name it!
Kids have plenty of breaks...who expects them to not play at the beach?!? We
can feed the seagulls in between takes. Or count washed up mussel shells. Or
watch the sandpipers race against the waves breaking. Or draw pictures in the
sand. Watching the surfers and skimboarders never gets dull. This beach is the
only beach I ever see dolphins and sea lions at too. It is pretty fun when we
spot them! The photo sessions at the beach are so relaxing for parents because
kids are just thrilled to be there and are absolutely in the best of moods.
Outfits can be changed (and different themes are available for the kids if you
want...to name a few... my mermaid, hula or surfer outfits and props are a
blast...or if you want to stay more traditional...my white sundresses for girls
or denim overalls for boys along with seashells and steel buckets)
